The funnel trap uses wings to "funnel" the animal into the trap.
There's a double-open ended door that will allow the animal to enter from either side and cardboard wrapped around the trap so the animal is protected from the sun. Wings are placed along a foundation or wall barrier. In the picture shown (click to enlarge) the animal is coming from the field on the other side of the wall. It may be lured in by the bait through either the front or back side of the trap.
